1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Word Assassins ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Word Assassins is a social deduction mobile game where players attempt to eliminate opponents by getting them to say assigned "trigger words" in conversation. The game is designed to be played in person with friends, family, or colleagues in appropriate social settings.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the App responsibly and ethically. You must NOT:

  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other players
  • Trespass on private property while playing
  • Play in inappropriate or dangerous locations
  • Use the game as a pretext for unwanted contact with others
  • Engage in any illegal activity
  • Attempt to hack, exploit, or reverse-engineer the App
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate gameplay
  • Use offensive or inappropriate usernames

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account access.

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional premium subscriptions and features. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy
  • Prices may change; you will be notified of any price increases

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Word Assassins and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. User-Generated Content

If you create custom word lists or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content within the App. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your content does not infringe on others' rights.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Word Assassins and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
